Vieletech Combustion Analysis Toolkit

Vieletech Combustion Analysis Toolkit (VCAT), formerly called Drivven Combustion Analysis Toolkit (DCAT) and National Instruments Combustion Analysis System (NI CAS), is a cylinder pressure recording and analysis tool. VCAT can be used on most NI DAQmx targets, but is tested on PXIe with X-series simultaneous sampling cards or USB cDAQ chassis. VCAT is sold as either a development or deployment license. The deployment version is a ready-to-run executable that is designed to work with NI cDAQ platforms. The development version is a VI library and example application intended to run on NI PXI hardware in a real-time engine control environment. Some features of VCAT are: • Online pressure analysis -->Peak pressure and location of peak pressure -->Location and rate of peak pressure rise • IMEP parameters • Heat release & mass fraction burned --> Single zone --> Single zone with pre-chamber --> Multiple heat transfer models • Knock analysis • Combustion noise analysis • Logging of axillary signals (injection, spark, cam phase, etc.) • Distributed low-speed data from remote cDAQ or cRIO chassis logged along side high speed • Raw files for full dataset recording • Summary files for reduced, easily viewable data logging • Offline tools to process Raw files to Summary files, or other formats
